The Governing Board of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo has appointed Mr. Ogundahunsi Gani Adebola as the Acting Rector of the Institution. This is sequel to his appointment as the Deputy Rector Academics in line with the laws of Ondo State of Nigeria as set out in Part III (Principal Officers of the Polytechnic) Section 13 (1) and following the notice of voluntary retirement of the Rector, Engineer Idowu Ologunagba on Tuesday, 18th September 2018. The Governing Council of the Institution in the exercise of its powers as contained in Section 12 (2) of the laws of Ondo State of Nigeria Volume 3 of 1996 (as amended) appointed the new Acting Rector based on his leadership skills, entrepreneurship acumen, interpersonal skills and being a highly experienced individual with effect from Tuesday 18th September 2018. Mr. Gani Ogundahunsi has served in various senior capacities in the Institution as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, Dean, Student Affairs, Chairman, Committee of Deans and also possesses a visible enthusiasm for the Councils aims and objectives of repositioning, modernizing and lifting Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo to the world map, an Institution noted for scientific innovation and advanced technology. Mr. Gani Ogundahunsi is a member of various professional bodies and he is happily married with children.
